International Youth Football Tournament “Nesebar Cup 2026”: Nesebar, once again host of a sporting celebration

From August 24 to 29, the coastal town of Nesebar will host one of the most significant sporting events in the region: the 28th edition of the International Youth Football Tournament “Nesebar Cup 2026”. This year, over 600 young footballers from approximately 60 teams from Belarus, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine will participate to showcase their skills and passion for the game.

Scope and Importance of the Tournament

The tournament covers a wide range of age groups, including children born in 2010-2011 and the youngest, born in 2018-2019. The main organizer, Vladimir Stoyanov, emphasizes the strategic importance of the event: “The tournament period, at the end of August, is ideal for the preparation for the Bulgarian Football Union championships for the autumn season 2026-2027, which makes it so desirable”.

The matches will take place on the fields of Nesebar, Ravda, and Kableshkovo, ensuring excellent conditions for all participants. The organization of the tournament is supported by the Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and the Municipality of Nesebar, which guarantees a high level of organization and sportsmanship.

The Mayor of Nesebar, Nikolay Dimitrov, expressed his support and vision for the future: “The ‘Nesebar Cup’ tournament is another opportunity for young football talents to demonstrate their skills and gain valuable experience on the field. In addition to the upcoming edition in August, the International Youth Football Tournament “Nesebar Cup” has already had a very successful edition in June, which was attended by over 80 teams, highlighting the growing interest and prestige of the event.
